Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed the officials to submit a status report on the land acquisition for the Young India Residential Schools in a week.

The Chief Minister held a meeting with officials of the Education Department at the Secretariat here on Friday. On the occasion, he inquired of the officials about land ac-quisition and other details to construct Young India Residential Schools in every As-sembly constituency in the state.

The officials have been asked to complete the work before the deadline in 100 constituencies. The Chief Minister ordered the officials to expedite the permit process for construction works in the constituencies where land acquisition has already been completed.

Revanth Reddy asked the authorities to visit the proposed land sites to ascertain whether the locations are feasible to establish the residential schools. If not, alternative land sites should be identified, he suggested.

During the meeting, the District Collectors were also directed to conduct field visits and take steps to complete the site identification process as soon as possible.

The Chief Minister emphasised that works should be started at a fast pace in the constituencies where land acquisition is completed. Revanth Reddy directed the authorities to complete the works with all types of infrastructure in 105 constituencies in two years.

Required infrastructure facilities should be provided in "Veera Nari" Chakali Ilamma Women's University at high standards, he said suggesting the officials to prepare plans for a playground, academic block and other facilities to meet the future needs.

The Chief Minister said the State government is ready to allocate adequate funds for the development of the University. Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, CM Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, Government Advisor Srinivasa Raju, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, and top officials were also present.
